-Paint and body evaluation (quality, rust, damage, repairs, gaps, trim, glass, etc)
-Paint meter readings where applicable
-Function check of all lights, accessories, gauges, HVAC, etc
-Visual and audible checks of engine and driveline (leaks, fluid levels and condition, belts, hoses, unusual noises, etc)
-Inspection of undercarriage for rust, leaks, damage or repair (by lift if available, by jacking vehicle if practical and agreed upon by all parties)
-Brake/ suspension inspection (as much as practical)
-Tire condition and date codes
-VIN and title/ registration verification
-Documentation verification (records, books, tools, keys, etc)
-“Correctness check” (where applicable) – option codes, paint and interior codes, engine and driveline numbers
-Scan for codes (newer OBDII vehicles)
-Test drive vehicle (when conditions allow and with permission of parties involved)
